My shipment just arrived. I guess they call mortars "arty shells" now. But the effect is the same. Some firecrackers and a ton of rockets. There are people who'll set things off here in the neighborhood, but im cognizant of the fact that people do have pets. So i'll probably head out to my dad's and lose some goddamned fingers. Blowing my whole hand off sounds awesome right about now.

Thankfully my dog doesn't seem to care. Even for the whistler rockets, she just kind of glances over with curiosity. She did start howling for the first one. But yeah, for the big stuff, the booms don't really seem to faze her.
