RE: Covid Vaccine - dave - 01-14-2021 I got an email from my doctor's office today announcing that they will have vaccines and had a link to an application. I filled one out for myself and mom since she's nearly 95...hope they will vaccinate her and me too since I'm her caregiver. Need to add my sister but she's not a patient at that practice. BTW, this practice treats mostly old folks -- I'm usually the youngest person in the waiting room and I turned 60 in November. I've got a feeling they won't ever have enough for all the gray hairs... RE: Covid Vaccine - Augie91 - 01-14-2021 Hospital in Texas offering $500 to get shots! It's a shame that some folks want shots so bad and others gotta be paid. I feel bad for both sides!!! Prayers for you and your mom Dave!!! My mom is 75 and she feels the same as you do. https://youtu.be/oMLxum137wg was RE: Covid Vaccine - Stank Delicious - 01-14-2021 Getting my shot in the morning at 0730. I'm curious to understand how the distribution is going. I'm a logistics guy by heart and the thought of all aspects of distribution is something that I find really cool. I guess that's a vagus question. But similar to how they redo the flu vaccine each year, I would think that a tweak wouldn't require full scale validation or field trials before being released, right? Takes about a month to redesign the vaccine. Since manufacturing is already in place, the transition should be instantaneous. However, regulatory barricades may still require clinical trials, which will take 6-9 months.
