Finished my CHL/LTC - Mexas Joe - 10-08-2020 Easy 4 hour online class. Did range time that took about 30 min. The hardest part was getting printed and background, as that was a 2 week wait due to Chyna-virus. I ended up driving 100 miles to a small town and got in same day. Wife took the class as well. I want her to carry in her purse, and she has a side gig as a Realtor. Funny, I never felt the need to Carry till I turn on the TV and see cities burning. RE: Finished my CHL/LTC - Stank Delicious - 10-09-2020 Stay strapped or get clapped. -Sun Tzu RE: Finished my CHL/LTC - Augie91 - 10-09-2020 I may join you once I build my confidence. Now that I'm liking shooting ranges on book of faces I'm getting conceled carry velcro corsets in my feed. Lol. What kind of pistol will you and your wife carry? Keep us posted on how it goes!!! I'm really curious about it. RE: Finished my CHL/LTC - Augie91 - 10-20-2020 Those little Springfield Hellcats are nice looking carry guns!! They got a desert colored one I like the looks of! I'm gonna shoot a Hellcat in next few weeks. Still building my confidence with indoor range visits. RE: Finished my CHL/LTC - Augie91 - 11-12-2020 Now I'm thinking either Glock 43x with shield 15 round mags or Sig p365. Still need to shoot both. Glock will prolly win?! What you going with Mexas? Any other carry folks wanna chime in?? RE: Finished my CHL/LTC - Stank Delicious - 11-12-2020 My main carry is a Glock 23 and a .357 snub for shorts weather. Winter time gives my 10mm 1911 some love. I like the 43x, the regular 43 is a bit to small for my hand, the X model is perfect, nice carry piece for me. RE: Finished my CHL/LTC - Augie91 - 11-12-2020 I think my 19 would be too heavy and big to carry?! Would rather have something thinner and lighter as long as there's no trade-off in accuracy. RE: Finished my CHL/LTC - Stank Delicious - 11-12-2020 Even with all the weight I've lost, I'm still a large fella. My 23 usually sits in an IWB holster or a shoulder rig comfortably.. The 1911 pushes my comfort level. RE: Finished my CHL/LTC - Stank Delicious - 11-12-2020 Finding the right holster is almost as important as finding the right pistol. |
