What is up with the NRA?  Is this a good move??  Leaving NY for Texas is a win!!

New York(CNN Business)The National Rifle Association of America, the nation's foremost gun lobby, has filed for bankruptcy, according court documents filed Friday in the Northern District of Texas.

The group said it plans to leave New York State, where it was founded in 1871, and reincorporate as a Texas nonprofit in a move it is calling "Project Freedom," according to a statement published Friday.

The National Rifle Association has filed for bankruptcy, and plans to ditch what CEO Wayne LaPierre described as “the toxic political environment of New York” and move its headquarters to Texas.

“The plan can be summed up quite simply: We are DUMPING New York, and we are pursuing plans to reincorporate the NRA in Texas,” LaPierre wrote in a letter to members.

Definitely moving to friendlier territory. I just wish they'd get rid of LaPierre and his ilk.

I’ll just add that Dana is a smoking hot MILF. Smart too.

I’m aware she’s no longer affiliated.

It'll be interesting to see if LaPierre, et al actually make the move to Texas, or just do a paperwork shuffle and stay in NY. I understand that would have taken a full board vote to move, except the entire board got a letter a while back from the smaller 'executive' board (my words), and moved that ability to them, where the exec board could vote to make such a move.
One interesting thing that gave me hope, I was listening to Tom Gresham's podcast, and he noted that going into Chapter 11 put them under a judges discretion-as in the judge could order the head executives and board have to be replaced. We can only hope.
