I take a small dosage. Not because I have high cholesterol, but to bring the numbers for the good and bad cholesterol closer together.

Yep. 10mg per day erryday for the last 10+ years.
My labs are good.

They prescribed 40mg of Lipitor
Seems high

Atorvastatin - 40mg for about 8 years. Works for me
Pravistatin 80mg once a day
Not sure why a higher dosage than yinz, I don't think my numbers were ever really high...

Statins are generally a fire and forget way of lowering your cholesterol. While cholesterol may not be the entire story behind cardiovascular disease, the risk reduction is real. If heart attack and stroke are in your family history or on your radar, statins are peace of mind.

40 mg of lipitor/atorvastatin nightly. It help keep my cholesterol in check. No known side effects. I have taken Crestor too. Lipitor works better for me. Been taking for over 20 years along with BP meds. Bad genes..
