Ackshully Asian Chillrens are worse off than Cracka Chillrens. Asians are so damn smart they are getting bumped hard-core in order to make more room for the Diversity Quota. They are accepting black kids that score waaaaaaay below Asians on testing and basically lowering standards in the sake of more Muh-Diversity.

There is also alot of federal dollars out there for covid scholarships or hardships.  My daughter submitted for the max she could and got it.  One year $1,500 but it helps.  Look into it.

Mech Engineering and female she will have it nailed. When my daughter was in school about 7-8 years ago, she told me her friends in BioMech engineering were looking at advanced degrees to really be employable. (She was in civil/environmental). Don't know if that is still the case, but she should talk to some juniors/seniors in that field to see what job prospects are like now.

One thing you might want to consider. Here in NC, UNC Chapel Hill and other 4 year schools are beginning to work with the technical schools/community colleges. A kid can take two years of the basic stuff in the community college with a 4-year college advisor working with them, to make sure everything is transferable. Engineering may be a little tougher to work but it'd save some serious money if its feasible.
