Even though not everyone professes to being Christian, I think most folks enjoy the stories of the Bible?! I think many have certain stories, or verses, that inspire them, or make their hearts calm with Love. I would love to hear what everybody's favorite Bible stories and verses are?!
Mine personally are the story of Abraham and Isaac, it's why we named our son Isaac. Abraham marching up the hill, with his son carrying items for his own sacrifice, has always been a message of faith regardless of the circumstances for me. It touched my heart greatly when Isaac had his journey with cancer. Another story I love is Jesus walking on the water. A third favorite would have to be the Gospel of John's 6th Chapter, because for me it establishes my Belief in the Real Presence. I have a lot of others, but these stand out at this moment right now. Please share your favorites if you like....... |
