personally I thought Rogue One was better than Solo, but they were both really well done.

I saw Rogue One and did like it. I'm a sucker for endings like that. Tongue

I usually just veg out and watch a movie and bot think much about it. However, I'm really tired of star wars being about the weird creatures. I want a deeper plot about the Jedi and sith.

I don't mind the creatures. I do mind the plot. I feel like Disney wants you to root more for the message than the characters themselves. Fuck that. Special effects can only carry you so far.

I will have to admit that the tie fighter scene in the Force Awakens was probably one of JJ Abrams finest moments. It had an Apocalypse Now feel to it and that is one of my favorite movies.

IIRC Abrams said that was exactly intentional

Props to him. That was one hell of an homage.

Just finished Solo. Surprisingly good. Alden Ehrenreich did a very good job as Solo. I've decided that Emelia Clarke would be decidedly less hot, if she didn't have that British Accent.

Solo can easily be a trilogy. So much story there and it was all touched on in the first movie.

I definitely would watch those so long as they don't go full Disney.

Definitely.  Heck, I'd watch a whole nother movie just about who the chick really was and what led Darth Maul to that moment.
