My old grill has seen better days. Looking at FB MP, I stumbled upon a really nice Weber Genesis. Just $100 and it's in great condition.

That's a heck of a deal for $100!! I've got a green Genesis with the front light burners that's very similar. It is over 10 years old and still running like a champ. I've replaced a hood and burners under warranty, replaced the starter and bars out of pocket. The SS grates are best IMHO. Mine are as good as day one. They don't make the Genesis Webers like ours anymore!! GREAT SCORE!!!!
Does that model have the tank full estimator on the inside? I don't know how accurate those things are but they are handy to let you know when gas is running low.

It does have the estimator where you hang it
It also has a gauge on the hose that connects to the tank. I was surprised to see in person how good of condition it was in. The dude said he thought he might have priced it too low as about 15 people contacted him after me. A nice bonus was that the guy lived in my development.

Nice. Mine is of that same era, and after about 16 years, still works and looks great.

After cooking dinner (wings and portabella mushrooms), I cranked it up to see max temp - got to nearly 675. So, it works...

Sounds like an awesome dinner. You should load up on grill food for the weekend! And beverages!!!! What did this like new grill replace?! Awesome score!!!!!!
I remember the first meal I had on my Genesis. Steaks were SO MUCH better than my old rig. |
