Ya, I did not like putting down how much money we have in investments and bank accounts.  Ever since our kids had SS numbers we've been saving in 529 plans for college.  We will be lucky if it covers it.  Our oldest is Chinese, was hoping that would be helpful.  No dice.  She's got a 4.0 I'm proud to say, but that does not translate into many scholarships either.  If you have worked hard and saved you don't get much.  We've had her apply for every scholarship out there that's not need based.  Many of the scholarships basically applied to every flavor and category of person except what we have in our house.
