Imagine if electric cars were the standard and someone invented the internal combustion engine. Imagine the sales pitch. "Recharges in under 5 minutes, lighter, no replacement batteries, no contact cleaner every 3,000 miles, you can run the AC AND the radio at the same time. May emit an authoritarian noise when accelerating."
