Quick calculation - and im not an electrical guy, so forgive me - along with some googling puts the average number of miles driven/driver/day at 40. Average EV needs 0.5 kWh to go 1 mile. So, each driver is adding 20 kWh to their daily needs. For perspective, the current average kWh consumption per person is 12-13 kW/h. How long does it take to double the power generation of the country? triple if there's a high adoption rate.
