Currently in the fermenter

What would you have said if you were told back then that Woody would not only play one of the most brutal serial killers in a cult classic, but also would play a major role as Han Solo's life coach? Big Grin

This was a five minute project. I was just playing around with beerlabelizer.com.  But getting that scene would be awesome.

Another is fermenting away. Put another lager on top of the yeast cake. Man, it took off fast!

Damn, that yeast cake was a monster. Down to 1.005 in 3 days.

Brewing hopefully in a couple days. Yeast is spinning but parent problems may take precedent

Trying a sour for the first time. I'm not particularly a fan but my wife has been requesting one. Using Philly Sour yeast. With a name like that, you know it must be good!

Yesterday, I dumped more wort into my 10G Torpedo with the lager yeast cake from a brew I completed 4-5 days ago. Fermentation was fast, took off in an hour or so. Went from 1.068 to 1.013 in 30 hours under 25 psi. 3 fermentations on a single pack of 34/70. Should I go for one more? Btw, haven't cleaned the fermenter, just keep adding as I drain the last.

The Philly Sour yeast seems legit.I sampled a bit and it has a nice level of sourness.  At this point though, the mango (6#) isn't coming through as much as I'd like.  It's been on the fruit for 5 days. I'll probably keg it up in 2-3 days. If there's not enough mango flavor, I might hit it with some extract.

Mango is tough. I think I put ten pounds into secondary once and still couldn't really taste anything more than "vaguely fruity." That said, the name was "mango wit" and the label had Chris Kattan in a fancy hat. That beer was an emphatic favorite of a spouse of somebody from the old board.

Yeah, I had heard that mango doesn't get very fruity. But that's what the lady requested. I would have preferred Berliner Weisse style and add the appropriate syrup to your glass. Anyway, what's done is done. Depending on how it tastes after carbonation, I could add a bit of extract. The stuff I just bought smells decent and my wife thinks it smells good. Mrs BB is welcome to try it.
