Maiden Voyage on Boat
#1
My wife was keen on buying a boat. I wasn't. I guess she won as we joined the Freedom Boat Club. Anyway, I'll do what I have to to keep her happy. Today was our maiden voyage (we did have a training trip with pros) and it went well. Basically, just cruised the Ashley River, scoped out Fort Sumter and the Morris Lighthouse.

Awesome! So it's a boat time share? And you don't have to fool with all the small headaches with having a boat? Sweet.

My experience at Ft Sumpter was being eaten alive by the bugs.

So you rent that with a monthly membership fee? Do you always get the same boat or different ones?

yeah, if I llived down there, I'd HAVE to have a boat. Of course, I can't say much with a 14' jonboat sitting in the yard here that I can never find time to take out on the water.

Gusso do they have a lot to choose from? Could you take out a runabout one day, a yacht the next, and go sailing on the third day? I think this boat club is a really cool idea, theres a lot of boating in our area and a lot of folks who own boats with buyers remorse. Your smart to take the route you did!!
