Covid Vaccine

Right at 70% fully vaccinated, 95% partially in NH. Skews the numbers, like more people in total die in wrecks wearing seatbelts, vs. nonwearers.

The adjustment resulted in removal of 72,277 deaths previously reported across 26 states, including 416 pediatric deaths, CDC said.

The reduction cut the CDC's estimate of deaths in children by 24% to 1,341 as of March 18.

Children accounted for about 19% of all COVID-19 cases, but less than 0.26% of cases resulted in death, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics, which summarizes state-based data.

Go figure.....

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — A federal judge in Florida has voided the national mask mandate covering airplanes and other public transportation as exceeding the authority of U.S. health officials.

The decision Monday by U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle in Tampa also said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention improperly failed to justify its decision and did not follow proper rule-making.

I took my mom to an orthopedist appointment today - well, met her there. She's past the point that I can transport her. I was shocked that masks were optional. Put mine in my pocket.

Got booster #2 a week ago. Decided to switch from Pfizer to Moderna. It hit me a little and my arm was sore for a few days. The wife and I were disappointed. After booster #1 at Hy Vee they gave each of us a $10 gift certificate and advised us to stay hydrated. Since they had an elevated Market Grill where you could watch all the stockers mess with their hair, phones, pick their nose and hit on shoppers it seemed like a good place to hydrate with beer. Fun people watching. No $10 this time but we went anyway. Basically bar food with a small but nice tap selection. Would do again in 6 months or whatever the next vax is.

Freedom!!!!!!!

WASHINGTON/CHICAGO, April 18 (Reuters) - The Biden administration will no longer enforce a U.S. mask mandate on public transportation, after a federal judge in Florida on Monday ruled that the 14-month-old directive was unlawful, overturning a key White House effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Soon after the announcement, all major carriers including American Airlines (AAL.O), United Airlines (UAL.O) and Delta Air Lines (DAL.N), as well as national train line Amtrak relaxed the restrictions effective immediately.

Good on them. This silly overstep has gone on for far too long already.

Holy Moses. Some of the leftists are downright losing their minds about airlines not requiring facepanties. What kinds of twits are booking air travel when they believe in their liberal hearts that the plane is filled with plague rats? The little piece of fabric was not going to save you anyway, Moonbeam.

Political theater has been adopted as full on dogma.

Ehrmagherd! I'm stranded in AustraliaDenmarkCozumelWherever because the Trumpian airplane won't force people to breath through their Hanes anymore!!! Whhhaaarrrrr!!!

My friend in Charleston has been a stewardess (can you still say that?) for a few months now. She is thrilled that masks won't be required. Stewardess is probably the correct term for her as she's a throwback to the days of yore when "flight attendants" were all smoking hot.
